Houston’s Local Action Plan Open For Public Input Until June 24

The City of Houston Housing and Community Development Department is extending the comment period on its local action plan for $1.15 billion in housing recovery funding until June 24. The plan will be submitted to City Council for approval on June 27.

“We’re pleased to have partnered with so many City Council members in hosting public meetings about the plan,” said Housing Director Tom McCasland. “We want to make sure the feedback from all of these meetings is included in the updated plan that goes to Council on the 27th.”

A list of upcoming events is posted at www.houstontx.gov/housing and on the HCDD Facebook page: www.facebook.com/HoustonHCDD. Later this summer, Houston’s plan will be incorporated into the State of Texas Plan for Disaster Recovery: Hurricane Harvey – Round 1 as a substantial amendment. Harris County’s plan will be incorporated in the same amendment.
